LAURA PANTE (1983) is a dancemaker based in Venice and Bruxelles where she is actually attending A.PASS (Advanced Performance and Scenography Studies), a post master program at Posthogeschool door PodiumKunsten.
After receiveing a MA graduation at IUAV-Venice Architecture University with a thesis on science philosophy in which she analyzed the relationship between motor learning system and design practices, she oriented her research to dance praxis. Her visions, insights and practices around drawing, photography, architecture, and her job experience as graphic designer and model are combined into her artistic processes. She is interested in a kind of movement research that involves thought into a gymnastic towards the pursuit of its expansion in time and space in order to initiate a critical reflection and activity around human survival policies.

In this context she worked with the photographer Luca Del Pia giving a performance lecture on her artistic practicies. She likes to introduce people into an expanded thinking practice through both bodily and mental movement. She loves to create confusion, distraction, destruction, deconstruction in order to challenge the language, the coded one we use to take as model for our design processees. She is actually studying different kind of codes of movements from 1920 rhythm gymnastic to contemporary dance and performance to analyse the seductive power of the body and its use and abouse, giving a particular fosus on the totalitarian regimes and the contemporary globalized capitalism body technology.
Since 2019 she is initiating a new way to collaborate with artists and choreograpghers reflecting on the sharing moment as a zone of expanded thinking where she produce vision of the future and the past in order to destabilize and rewrite together the dramaturgy of the narrative at stake. She is following this generative practice within Cristina Rizzo’s new project.
